Dark Autumn tales from the 80s wave scene

The seasons have certainly changed, up north they know full well how to deal with the colder months and darker nights and also….
darker music!

Rrimöykk from Finland, has certainly been busy hunting down the ultimate collection of 80s darkwave sounds which can flawlessly propel us through these months.

This mix is a couple of years old not but still it remains a stone cold classic in my book! A perfect flow through the most raw and melancholic sounds the 80s have to offer.

Unrefined and powerful just like northern landscape you cant help but be spell bound by the sounds brooding out of the glorious analogue gear of yesteryear.

Here Rrimöykk has really shown the the waves of old are still quite prominent today!

Polar Inertia’s stories from a new era

polar inertia

This is not the first time we mention Polar Inertia. Our last reference was the Sonic Outlaws by Polar Inertia on Field Records. This was just a sample behind this polymorphic concept. A sample that makes you want more and more.

Polar Inertia  is a story,a project representing a balance between contemporary art and eclectic deep electronic sound. Polar Inertia is art and passion for the high aesthetics. Fine taste, mysterious background.

Between cinematographic sceneries and electro ambient. A noisy evolution of a futuristic perspective.

Giving expectations of a new era of mind freedom.

Computers, machines and people in a perfect harmony, working all together towards a new stage of life.

Lost in the amazing  “Secret Thirteen Mix 131”. Time for reflection and insight under a sci fi atmosphere.

Amazing inspiring and trippy live recording by Polar Inertia.

Fasten your seatbelts________

Detroit Tales

A tune I am in love with, part of a bigger story, the  compilation Detroit is Back, by Still Music (Chicago), a perfect balanced coexistance between deep techno and soulfoul house.

Here, Gabbamonkey narrates a deep slow tale with “2 pace back”.

Its sensual and inspiring vocals making us daydreaming the revival of Detroit.

1977, For Those Who Know

1977 ep For those who know 2014

This time it didn´t take a lot of time to pick up a record for today´s post. A nice cup of tea at one of my favourite places in the cloudy city, the music on my headphones and this EP just came to caress my ears, giving the ideal atmosphere to this moment.

I am happy to  present one more EP by the a mysterious artist/s,1977, under the new  label For Those Who Know with an original deep attitude.

Strict, dubby cuts are coming with “Dab Dis” and  a mood like from a futuristic film noir can be experienced with ”Lud”.

Repetitive loops with a melancholic experimental touch with ”Gesen” and finally,

“Norman”, as the name of the EP, is the perfect start of a deep journey accompanied by a smoothly distorted bass.

A very nice and  complete work with great aesthetics.

You can listen and  buy on Juno: http://www.juno.co.uk/artists/1977/

Enjoy one more tale…

When Muses meet techno/ OUTIS label stories

Outis005-Digital-Artwork-300x300     Urania_Pio-Clementino_Inv293

(=nobody, ancient greek=οὔτις)

Even though OYTIS means nobody, we know the man hidden behind this label is Dino Sabatini a producer of dark mental techno.

His sound full of  paganistic  beats and perversions, dope tunes that can bring you to a mental ecstasis, dancing all along with the Greek Muses on an primal  techno rhythm. Wild and spiritual like a Dionisiac celebration.

We really liked the words of the artist that described in an ideal way the story behind the label:

“Feel inspired by this Greek character

OYTIΣ (=nobody, ancient greek=οὔτις) and this label is named after him.

Outis is my first personal Imprint, with which I am continuing my own musical approach I already explored through my

previous releases under both Dino Sabatini and Modern Heads names.

Evocative music. Hypnotic, dark, sensual music. A sonic representation of the sensations I like to be possessed by.

This is exactly how I love techno and electronic music to sound like, this is what I love to dance to.”

I can’t really find better words to describe his music. Just listen and activate the unique power of yours through this tremendous sound.

We distinguish the Outis 005 , Mnemosyne EP and this is exactly what we love, too.

When the mystery of the past is coming to meet the now with the shape of the three Goddesses daughters of Mnemosyne.

1.Terpsichore

2.Euterpe

3. Urania

Be Invisible, be Nobody, be Outis…

Thank you Dino.
